PURPOSE:To obtain a small and inexpensive wire dot head having excellent heat dissipating effect and reduced in printing noise, by constructing a heat dissipating member for forming a heat dissipating fin for dissipating heat generated by applying a pulse to an electromagnet of a material having high heat conductivity. CONSTITUTION:The pulse to be applied supplied through a flexible cable 3 is applied to a coil 7 from the terminal of a bobbin 8 and an armature 14 is driven by the generated magnetic pulse. Heat generated from the coil 7 at this time is dissipated to the atmosphere from the surface contacted with the atmosphere of a back holder 21 being a heat dissipating member through a core 6, a yoke 5 and a spacer 4. As the material of the back holder 21, a material having high heat conductivity, for example, aluminum or magnesium as a practical metal is considered but, if magnesium is used because excellent in moldability as compared with aluminum and can be thinly processed, heat dissipating effect can be enhanced. In addition, because magnesium has high attenuation capacity, vibration-proofing and sound-proofing effect to vibration or noise is high. |
