Process and device for checking the operating capacity of a cleaning appliance

In order to improve the checking of the operating capacity of a cleaning appliance for machined workpieces moved past the cleaning appliance along an advancing track, it is proposed that a testpiece of identical design at least in the region to be subjected to the jets of cleaning fluid be pushed into the series of successively advanced workpieces and be moved through the cleaning appliance in the same way as the workpieces, that specific characteristic values of the impacting jets be measured in the region to be cleaned, and that these measured values be transmitted by radio, by means of a transmitter arranged in the testpiece, to a stationary receiver which generates signals corresponding to the measured characteristic values of the jet. A device for carrying out the process is also provided.
