The invention describes an essentially "u"-shaped or "v"-shaped clamp, which is constructed for the attachment of a projection of a component in an opening of another component. For insertion into the opening, the clamp (10) has a running-on section with clamping tabs for fitment to the projection (18; 80) and a running-off clamping section (42, 44) which runs along the projection (18) and has oppositely arranged clamping shoulders (46, 48) which rest on the sides (30, 32) of the opening (28) and thus clamp the projection (18) firmly in the opening (28). In this arrangement, the clamp (10) can be placed on the projection (18), the clamping tabs (68) holding the clamp firmly on the projection (18). The component having the projection (18) can then be mounted on the component having the opening simply by inserting the clamp into the opening and pressing the parts together until the clamp "snaps in place" in the opening. <IMAGE>
