The luggage space lid (2) of a passenger vehicle has a U-shaped reinforcement plate (11) on its inside along its edges, by means of which plate a cavity (12) is formed. A lining part (13) is secured to the underside of the reinforcement plate (11), by means of which lining part a further cavity (14) is produced. The latter is lined, to the same degree as the cavity (12) of the reinforcement plate (11), with sound-absorbing layers (15, 15') on sides lying opposite one another. The reinforcement plate (11) is provided on its four edge sections (11', 11'', 11"') with inlet openings (18) or outlet openings (20, 22). The air which flows away from the passenger compartment (6) of the vehicle passes - as illustrated diagrammatically with arrows a - via the ventilation openings (10) and inlet openings (18) into the cavity (12) of the reinforcement plate (11) and via the latter into the cavity (14) of the lining part (13). From the cavity (12) the air passes by way of the outlet openings (20 and 22) into the joint (5) and thus into the atmosphere. <IMAGE>
