<p>PURPOSE:To enable correction of a gap between a pad and a disc plate, by a method wherein, in a mechanical disc brake, a coil spring is disposed between a C-shape lock ring mounted to the cylinder in a caliper, and a thrust nut. CONSTITUTION:By feeding pressurized air to an air chamber 1 supported on a bracket 5 for coupling together a caliper body 2 and an outer caliper 3, the spline shaft 7' of a nut 7 is turned, and a screw 9 is screwedly moved to press a disc plate by means of pads 8 and 8'. A ring 12 having an opening part, is resiliently interposed around the outer diameter of the screw 9, the outer diameter is further surrounded with 2-slipt grooved ring 13, and a coil spring 14 is disposed between the grooved ring and a C-shape lock ring 15 of the caliper body 2. Thus, a gap between the nut 7 and the screw 9 is concentrated to the leftmost end, and a gap between the pads 8 and 8' may be adequately held.</p> |
