PURPOSE:To obtain a decorative article simply with a pattern section relieved building up by applying a high frequency voltage to an upper electrode having a blade formed to swell a pattern forming section of a decoration blank while a peripheral excess section is fused down. CONSTITUTION:A solid printing is done on the back of a thermoplastic polyester sheet 1 with a black ink 1' except for graphics 2-10 while a printing is done on the back of the graphics with an ink 19 to make colored transparent sections in a plurality of colors. Then, a printing is done on the back of the graphics building up employing an ink 19 having fine pieces of epoxy resin mixed with a properly swelling transparent vehicle as binder and additionally, laminated with a vinylchloride film 11 to form a decoration blank (a). A stuck body of the blank (a) and a release paper 13 is placed on a lower electrode 16' and a part positioned on the upper side of the graphics 2-10 are sunk. With an upper electrode 16 being pressed from above the decoration blank (a), a high frequency voltage is applied thereto 16 to swell the graphics 2-10 upward conspicuously while outer sides of the counture line 10 are fused down with a blade 17.
