PURPOSE:To save energy by a method wherein the output horsepower of a prime mover can be utilized effectively when a variable capacity type pump, equipped with a cutoff control means, and the same type pump, equipped with an input horsepower control means, are driven by the common prime mover. CONSTITUTION:The first variable capacity type pump 3, equipped with a regulator 2 consisting of the input horsepower control device 12, the cutoff control device 2 and a servo cylinder device 13, and the second variable capacity type pump 6, equipped with the regulator 7 consisting of the input horsepower control device 16, a horsepower reduction control device 8 and the servo cylinder device 17, are driven by the common prime mover 11. In such device, first reduction valve 28 is provided in the regulator 1. The second reduction valve 29 is interposed in a path 5 connecting the delivery side flow path 4 of the pump 3 and a horsepower reduction port 10 of the cylinder 9 for said horsepower reduction control device 8. The primary side path 30 of the first reduction valve 28 is connected to an auxiliary pump 31 while the secondary side path 32 is connected to the pilot chamber 33 of the second reduction valve 29. |
