Process for the cutting, severing or abrasive working of metals

A process for the cutting, severing or abrasive treatment of metals is described, using a cooling lubricant which contains a fluorochlorohydrocarbon and esters of long-chain carboxylic acids and monohydric alcohols having a total of 34 to 50 carbon atoms, or derivatives of the esters. A cooling lubricant which can be used for the process and a process for preparing such a cooling lubricant are also described.
