Appliance for cabbage harvesting, especially for cauliflowers, kohlrabi and similar types of cabbage. The appliance according to the invention can be used for the total harvesting of cauliflowers or kohlrabi, without damaging surrounding leaves and flowers or tubercles. It possesses, above cutter discs known per se, an oppositely rotating pair of holding belts for grasping the plants at the stalk end, above which pair of holding belts is arranged a pair of suspension bands which grasps the plant above the flower. The pair of suspension bands projects above the pair of holding belts and is guided via a following conveyor band, onto which it deposits the plant together with the stalk. The conveyor band has a greater pitch and a higher speed than the pairs of holding belts and suspension bands, with the result that an orientation of the plant takes place in such a way that it is transported, with the stalk in front, onto a following cross-conveyor.
