PURPOSE:To control the amount of fuel properly at all times by a method wherein a relative position between a reed, provided at one end of a plunger and communicated with a pump chamber, and the fuel supply channel of a control sleeve can be changed by a control slider. CONSTITUTION:A guide 22, housing a compression spring 34, and the like are fitted above a nozzle needle 12, detachably fitted into a valve seat 27 in the main body 11 of a pump while a slider guide 23, integral with a plunger guide 18, is provided above the guide 22. The plunger 13, fitted with the control sleeve 14 at the lower part thereof, is accommodated into the bore 57 of the guide 18 while the reed 46, communicating with the pump chamber 38 through a port 47, is formed on the outer periphery of the lower end of the plunger 13. The control slider 15, equipped with a spline 54, meshing with the spline 52 of the sleeve 14, and a helical spline 53, meshing with the helical spline 41 of the guide 23, is fitted thereinto while the slider 15 is moved by the excitation of a solenoid 17. |
