PURPOSE:To detect the abnormality of a printer, by such simple constitution that contact points which do not contact during the normal operation of the stroke of a hammer but contact at the time of abnormality are provided. CONSTITUTION:The distance C between contact points 11, 12 is set so as to be made larger than the stroke A-B of a hammer. Therefore, the contact points 11, 12 do not contact during normal hammer operation. On the other hand, at the time of abnormality generated when forgetting to put in a type wheel 4 or generating the breakage of a spoke, the thickness B of a type is removed and, therefore, the hammer stroke becomes large and the contact points 11, 12 are contacted. By this mechanism, an electric signal is generated and an alarm is issued by a lamp or a buzzer to inform abnormality. |
