PURPOSE:To control the conduction exactly by a method wherein the heating condition of the glow plug is decided by a decision circuit and the glow plug is heated rapidly by continuing the heating when the engine is started upon preheating the plug and the temperature of the plug has not arrived at a predetermined temperature. CONSTITUTION:When a key switch 2 is closed, a timer 27 begins the timing function thereof, the output of the timer becomes low level and the transistor 29 of a switching circuit E is put OFF. At the same time, the transistor 30 is put ON, the contact 6 of a relay 6a is closed to form an after-glow circuit, subsequently, the transistor 13 is put ON to close the contact 3 of the relay 3a and form a rapid heating circuit, thus, the conduction of the glow plug 4 is initiated. When the engine is started during this conduction and a generator 26 generates, the contact 25 of the relay 24a is opened. When the temperature of the glow plug 4 arrives at the set value thereof, the output of the decision circuit A becomes a high level, the transistor 11 is put ON, the transistor 13 is put OFF to open the contact 3 of the relay and the conduction is effected by the after- glow circuit only. |
