PURPOSE:To improve charge performance of a battery which is allowed to stand after overdischarge by specifying the content of lead monooxide or lead carbonate in an anode active material to 5wt% or less. CONSTITUTION:In a retainer type small sealed lead-acid battery, charge performance of a battery which is allowed to stand after overdischarge is decreased as the degree of oxidation is increased. As shown in the figure, in order that the time required to carry a charge current of 100mA makes one second, the degree of oxidation of an anode plate must keep to 5% or less. |
