<p>Title compds. I [R, R1, R2=H, C4-14 alkyl, C2-19 alkanoyl, C5-19 alkenoyl, protected amino; R3, R4. R5=H, C4-14 alkyliden!, useful as antibiotics, were prepd. Thus, 10l culture broth consisting of 100g peanut meal, 50g peptone, 200g sucrose, 5g KH 2PO4, 12g K2HPO4, and 2.5 g MgSO4.7H2O in 14 liter-fermentor was inoculated with A. utaensis and cultivated at 30≰C for 66 hrs. The resulting broth was mixed with 100 g crude A-21978 complex. The culture broth was filtered, passed through HP-20 column, and eluted with a mixt. contg. H2O and acetonitrile to give A-21978C nucleus.</p> |
