PURPOSE:To store a prescribed area of a generated pattern with a simple circuit constitution, by constituting a system so that a pattern of the area, which is indicated by an indicating means, out of the pattern generated by a pattern generator is stored in a pattern memory. CONSTITUTION:A determined area, which should be stored in a pattern memory 3, out of the area of a pattern to be displayed is indicated to a pattern area indicating means 2 by a control part 1, and the control part 1 indicates a pattern generator 4 to generate a desired pattern. Every picture elemnt of the pattern generated by the generator 4 is set to a pattern register 5 together with coordinates indicating the position of the picture element. Contents set to this register 5 are sent to the pattern area indicating means 2, and it is detected whether they are the pattern of the preliminarily designated area or not, and only the pattern in this area is written in the memory 3 through a gate means. By this constitution, patterns to be stored in the memory are stored selectively easily. |
