发明名称 MAGNETIC RECORDING THIN FILM HEAD
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a head with superior recording efficiency by using a ternary amorphous Co alloy contg. small amounts of Zr and Ta or a quaternary amorphous Co alloy contg. small amounts of Zr, Ta and Nb as the material of thin core films. CONSTITUTION:A thin film of an amorphous Co alloy contg. about 5-20wt% in total of >= about 2.5wt% Zr and Ta as the 1st thin core film 2, an insulating thin film 3, an electrically conductive thin film 4, an insulating thin film 5, and the 2nd thin core film 6 made of the same material as the film 2 are successively laminated on a nonmagnetic substrate 1 of glass, silicon or the like to manufacture a magnetic thin film head. The material of the films 2, 6 may be converted into a quaternary Co alloy contg. about 5-20wt% in total of >=about 2.5wt% Zr, Ta and Nb by substituting Nb for part of Ta in the material. After forming the films 2, 6, heat treatment is carried out in a rotating magnetic field to reduce the anisotropic magnetic field. Thus, high saturation magnetic flux density and high magnetic permeability are provided to the head to improve the recording efficiency especially to a metallic tape.
