PURPOSE:To prevent the formation of an abnormal layer in a casting product in casting wherein a molten metal is injected at a high speed through a biscuit part, runner part and gate part into a cavity by providing restricting parts at one or more places on the inside surface in the runner part. CONSTITUTION:There are a gate part 4, a runner part 5 and a biscuit part 6 in communication with a cavity 3 in the lower part of the cavity 3 formed of a stationary die 1 and a movable die 2. An injection sleeve part 7 is provided in communication with the side in the lower part of the biscuit part 6 and a plunger 8 is provided slidably forward and backward therein. One restricting part 9 is provided on the inside surface in the part 5. A molten metal is charged through a charging port 10 into the sleeve part 7, and is injected at a high and low speed by the plunger 8. The plunger 8 is retreated upon completion of the casting, and the casting mold is knocked out after cooling and the casting is taken out. The abnormal layer owing to the presence of the broken piece from the abnormal shell layer does not exist in the surface of the cast product according to the above-mentioned method. |
