PURPOSE:To prevent the spoiling of the mass of merchandise in the stage of distribution by cutting a rolled material to adjust its mass and to form a bullion, and inscribing a designation for identification on the main side faces of said bullion by using rotors formed with projections for identification on the surface. CONSTITUTION:A rolled material having a specified thickness and width is cut or blanked to form a bullion 2 slightly larger than the prescribed mass. The bullion is ground with a file, etc. or each ridge and vertex are directly chamfered to form chamfered surfaces 5 in conformity with the prescribed mass. The opposite main side faces 8 of the bullion 2 are sandwiched between two rotors 7a and 7b formed peripherally with projections 6 for identification, such as ruggedness, patterns or characters, and is extruded to inscribe a designation 9 for identification on the surfaces 8. The measure for preventing the loss of mass in the stage of distribution, such as cutting and chipping of the bullion, is thus incorporated to the bullion, whereby the workability in production and the merchandise value in finishing are improved. |
