A swimming pool 11 comprises side walls 18, end walls 19 and a base 21 and a drain system at the top of the pool, preferably along both side walls, for the removal of excess water and the supply of cleaned and heated water. The base 21 comprises elements made of prestressed concrete or similar material and rests on shoulder sections 18d on the side walls slightly above the foundation. The side walls 18, and preferably also the end walls, rise up from and are anchored at a level below the shoulder sections of the side walls. The side walls and the end walls are made from prefabricated concrete structures, which are clamped together by mechanical means at the corner-forming ends of the concrete structures. <IMAGE> |
