PURPOSE:To prevent a damage of an electro-thermo element caused by a rapid cooling performed by an overspliting of water and the like by a method wherein electro-thermo elements of thermo-couple for controlling the supplying of fuel for cooking instrument water heater and the like are contacted with a source of heater through a heat-resistant metal conductor. CONSTITUTION:An element part S1 of an electro-thermo element S composed of an element S1, metal part S2 and conductor lines 7, 7 is made such that P type element 4 of 3d-transient silicate and N type element 5 are connected at P-N junction plane 11 at one end thereof. The metal body S2 is composed of a superior high heat resistant, anti- corrosive thermo-conductive material such as tungsten, moribdeum and tantalum and the like. The extremity end of the metal body S2 is heated by a flame 6 of a burner 2 and the heat is transmitted to the end of connection of the element part S1 to cause a temperature difference between the inverse connected ends B, B and a thermoelectric power is taken out at the conductor lines 7, 7 and then the solenoid valve V is released. In this way, it is the metal body S2 that is directly heated by the flame 6 not by the element part S1, so that a deterioration of the element part S1 caused by heat and flame can be reduced. It is possible to juice prevent the splash from being applied to the element part S1 when juice is splashed under an arrangement in which the element part S1 is covered by a catch plate 1 acting as a cover. |
