Oxygen gas mask and arrangement for fastening the mask to a helmet

Fighter pilots generally use an oxygen gas mask. Normally, the mask is held against the face of the wearer by bands which are fastened to the sides of the wearer's helmet. Under violent g-loads, the band is not able to hold the mask in proper position. This major problem is solved by the invention in that the mask is fastened to the helmet instead by a fastening arrangement which consists of a system of hinges and links arranged on both sides, which in vertical direction rigidly join the mask to the sides of the helmet, while the link system can move in horizontal direction.
