PURPOSE:To move a transducer in parallel with the surface of a recording carrier to control positioning by relatively moving any one of a positional information carrier having pitch information corresponding to a recroding track and a pickup part detecting the pitch information by a regenerative signal outputted from the recording track. CONSTITUTION:Automatic tracking control is executed for a track to be initially reproduced after charging a magnetic sheet 1 or turning on a power supply. At that time, a switch 17 s turned to the (a) side, an error signal corresponding to the shifted distance of the track is applied from a tracking controlling circuit 108 to a motor driving circuit 16 so that the regenerative output of a magnetic head 3 is maximized, and a DC motor 107 for head feeding is driven and controlled. At the end of automatic tracking, the opened switch 18 is closed. At the close of the switch 18, a pickup output from a magnetic resistor type head 13 is inputted to an encoder compensating circuit 19, an electric/machine transducer 12 is driven and controlled so that the output of the head 13 is maximized, and the converter is held at its position. |
