PURPOSE:To normally provide optimum advance angle characteristic, by a method wherein, after the angle of an ignition is lagged as an engine speed increased within the high-speed zone of an engine, the angle is advanced again. CONSTITUTION:An ignition circuit 1 is provided for producing a high voltage for ignition on the secondary side of an ignition coil 2 through control of the primary current of the ignition coil by means of a semiconductor switch 4 triggered at the ignition position of an engine. A device is further provided with a signal coil 34 which generates a first signal VS1 at a fist reference position equivalent to a maximum advance angle position, and a second signal VS2 at a second reference position equvalent to an ignition position during rotation at a low speed of an engine, and an ignition position control circuit 10 for controlling an ignition position through control of position where the first signal VS1 and the second signal VS2 produce an inputt to operate the semiconductor switch 4. Additionally, in a drawing, reference numerals 11 and 12 represent advance angle capacitors, and 13 shows a lag angle capacitor. |
