SCRAPING-OFF DEVICE OF CAKE IN CENTRIFUGAL FILTER

PURPOSE:To make the scraping of cake from a filter cloth easy and to improve operating efficiency by interposing an expansible hollow bag having passage holes for filtrate between a basket screen and the filter cloth along the filter surface. CONSTITUTION:A flexible hollow bag 4 which has passage holes 5 for filtrate and has projections 14 on the inside surface and expands when a liquid is injected therein is prepared. The bag 4 is interposed between a cylindrical basket screen 6 and a filter cloth 3 along the filter surface. The feed liquid supplied to such centrifugal filter is filtered and the filtrate thereof is discharged through the cloth 3, the holes 5 and the screen 6 to the outside of the machine. The cake 9 on the cloth 3 is scraped with a scraper 10, and the remaining base layer is stripped from the surface of the cloth 3 when the bag 4 expands.
