PURPOSE:To enable generating of a power without a dam, by a method wherein a pump is driven by a solar heat, and a power is generated by causing water, pumped up, to flow in the runner of a water turbine. CONSTITUTION:A solar light is collected by a reflecting mirror 1, and by means of the solar light, a Stirling engine 2 is driven. A pump 5, coupled to the Stirling engine 2, is operated by the driven Stirling engine, and water may be pumped up at a high head. The pumped up water is guided directly to the runner of a water turbine 7 to perform generation of a hydraulic power. Further, in this case, the water pumped up at a high head is guided to various spots of the runner of the water turbine by the use of sets of pumping up system to strengthen rotation of the water turbine, whereby a power may be generated without a dam. |
