<p>PURPOSE:To construct a manhole without the need for the installation of wastewater treatment facilities by providing a water-cut formwork having a height slightly higher than the level of groundwater in a hole 10 and a larger inside dimention than the outside dimension of a manhole to be constructed on the bottom of the hole. CONSTITUTION:A water-cut formwork 24 having a height slightly higher than the level 22 of groundwater 20 in an excavated hole 10 and a larger inside dimension than the outside one of a manhole 40 to be constructed is set on a leveling concrete 28 at the bottom of the hole 10. Underwater concrete 30 is then placed on the bottom of the water-cut formwork 24 and hardened to keep a water-tightness between the bottom of the water-cut formwork 24 and the bottom of the hole 10. The water in the formwork 24 is drained and the manhole 40 is constructed inside the formwork 24.</p> |
