An amine of formula H2NCH2(CH2)nCH2NH2 (II) is reacted with an o-nitrile of formula (III) in a sealed tube at 160-250 deg.C. to obtain new phenols of formula (I) and their addition salts with acids (in which X is halogen, nitro, methoxy, thio-methyl, SOCH3, SO2CH3 or allyl; R is H, alkyl, cyclo-alkyl, alkyl cyclo-alkyl or other; n is 0, 1 or 2).
