PURPOSE:To uniform substrate intervals over the entire surface of even a wide display panel and to prevent display unevenness, etc., by providing a seal material of a closed loop shape between two substrates of a liquid-crystal display panel, and holding pressure outside of the panel a little bit higher than that inside of the panel. CONSTITUTION:A transparent electrode 12 and an oriented film 13 are formed on a transparent substrate 11 of the panel and then a seal material 14 is printed in the closed loop shape. The substrate 17 where a transparent electrode 15 and an oriented film 16 are formed is stuck to the substrate 11 to assemble a panel 18. Panels 18 are raised on a holder 19 and put in a pressure thermostatic chamber 20 and pressurized air from a compressor 22 is controlled by a solenoid valve 21 to hold the pressure inside of the panel 18 nearly equal to that outside the panel 18 when the seal material 14 is cured by a rise in temperature. When final principal curing is performed, the external pressure is held a little bit higher than the internal pressure. They are cooled and taken out and each panel is cut along a line A-A' and sealed after being charged with liquid crystal through an injection inlet 23. Thus, liquid-crystal layers are uniformed in thickness. |
