<p>Liposomes in uni- or multi lamella form contain (A) stearyl glucoside e.g. beta-sitosteryl- beta-D-cholesteryl- beta-D-glucoside; and/or (B) stearyl glucoside monopalmitate, e.g., as active ingredient(s). - Active ingredients are pref. contained in lipids, partic. a natural phosphatidyl choline, e.g., egg yolk lecitin, or a synthetic phosphatidyl choline e.g., dimyristoyl phosphatidyl choline, dipalmitoyl phosphatidyl choline, distearyl phosphatidyl choline or dioleyl phosphatidyl choline. - By using a small amt. of a lipid, the active ingredients can be formulated into intravenously injectable prepns. having a high content of the active ingredients and exhibiting improved pharmacological effects. DEAB- DE3309076 C Pharmaceutical compsn. comprises one or more steryl glucosides and/or steryl glucoside palmitates as the active component(s), dispersed with an aq. lipoid e.g. phosphatidylcholine. Pref. steroid derivs. are beta-sitosteryl beta-D-glucoside, stigmasteryl beta-D-glucoside, campersteryl beta-D-glucoside and cholesteryl beta-D-glucoside and/or their mono-palmitates. Prepn. of these solns. comprises dissolution of the glycoside(s) and/or their palmitates in the aq. lipoid soln; addn. of a charge carrier and opt. steroid(s) in CHCl3; evapn. of the CHCl3; addn. of physiol. salt soln. and/or buffer agent; and dispersion of the mixt. by vigorous stirring or ultrasonics.</p> |
