Centrifugal lamellar clarifier intended especially for purifying effluents laden with mud and hydrocarbons. According to the invention the clarifier 10 consists of a vessel 11 provided with an entry 12 and an exit 14 for discharging the water and in its internal part has one or more curved lamellae 13 arranged along the flow of the fluid so as to divert its path in the vessel. The invention will find its application very particularly as a sludge separator and separator for the hydrocarbons employed for water pretreatment. <IMAGE>
