<p>An apparatus for testing wiring harnesses includes a plurality of test circuits one for each wire in the harness, and each comprising a first switch device (Q1) for connecting one end of the associated wire to one pole of a power supply, a resistor (R) for connection between the other end of the wire and a second switch device (Q5), said second switch device (Q5) connecting said resistor (R) to the other pole of the power supply, a third switch device (S) connecting the junction of the wire and the resistor (R) to a first common output terminal (O1) to which the third switch devices of all the test circuits are connected, and diode means (D4) connecting the junction of the resistor (R) and the second switch device (Q5) to a second common output terminal (O2) to which the diode means of all the test circuits are connected, and sequential control means for operating the first, second and third switch means so that all the switch means associated with a single wire are operated simultaneously, signals provided at the first and second common output terminals indicating the condition of each wire in turn.</p> |
