PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of recording operation by providing both a rotating body for transfer and a rotating body for press contact with a heat source and a temperature detecting part, and inhibiting both heat sources from being turned on at the same time during recording operation. CONSTITUTION:The surface temperatures of the rotating body 7 for transfer and rotating body 9 for press contact are detected by detection parts 14 and 13, whose outputs are inputted to a control part 15 to control the heater 7A of the rotating body 7 for transfer and heater 9A of the rotating body 9 for press contact on the basis of the detection signals; and the heaters 7A and 9A of both rotating bodies are powered on except during transfer operation to control the surface temperature until fixation becomes possible. When, however, recording such as transfer is carried out, the heaters 7A and 9A are inhibited from being turned on at the same time, a large current resulting from concurrent power consumption for turning on an exposure lamp, etc., in a copying process does not flow. |
