PURPOSE:To perform uniform fixation even over a wide form with radiant heat energy by providing an optical fiber array on the optical path of a laser beam in the scanning direction of the beam, and irradiating the form with the laser beam. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam from a laser light source 7 is reflected according to the rotation of a polygon mirror 6 in the middle of the conveyance of a form where an unfixed toner image is stuck after transfer to a form discharge port to scan on the photodetection surface of the optical fiber array 8 at a high speed. Then, the scan is made from the output terminal of the optical fiber array 8 at right angles to the form conveyance direction, so the unfixed toner image on the form and its circumference rise in temperature enough for fixation, performing the fixation uniformly. |
