PURPOSE:To improve intimate contact between a scraper and a develping roll 2 and to stabilize image quality and to facilitate fixation of it by providing the scraper of a thin elastic plate with lateral and longitudinal grooves in proper forms to increase the elasticity of a scraper. CONSTITUTION:The scraper 4 made of thin elastic material is supported with a support pillar 3, and located in contact with the developing roll 2 in the tangential direction, and provided with a continuous longitudinal groove 4a and lateral grooves 4b from the groove 4a to the end of the scraper 4, almost rectangular to the groove 4a and at prescribed intervals. Consequently, even if the scraper 4 is deformed by working or displaced by fixing, these deformation and displacement are absorbed by the elasticity given by such a structure as having the grooves 4a and 4b to maintain the scraper in uniform intimate contact with the developing roll 2. |
