<p>The cpd. is made by (a) reacting an alkaline salt of phthalimide or tetrahydrophthalimide, dissolved in water, with perchloromethyl mercaptan, prepg. the alkaline salt in situ by reaction of alkaline hydroxide with the phthalimide base by reaction of alkaline hydroxide with the phthalimide base in the reaction mixt. with the mercaptan which is added as a soln. and/or dispersion made by solvent or surfactant, (b) filtering the reaction prod., and (c) washing and drying the ppt.</p> |
