PURPOSE:To improve the reading of continuous pages while decreasing damages to a thick original by placing an original with an original plane upward and scanning a scanner moved together with a platen glass close to the original plane with the coupling of a hinge. CONSTITUTION:A cover frame 1 is incorporated to a base frame 21 so as to be opened/closed by a hinge section 22. The cover frame 1 has a platen glass 2 and a scanner 5 in its inside. The base frame 21 has an original placing plate 23 made of an elastic member such as sponge. Then, a guide rail supports the scanner 5. The cover frame 1 has a latch 14 so as to obtain stable engagement with the base frame 21 when being closed. A cord 25 having a connector 24 is extended from the frame 21 and an electric signal outputted from a long range image sensor of the scanner 5 is given to a transmission section of a facsimile device. |
