PURPOSE:To facilitate optical axis alignment and to distribute light to two optical fibers equally by jointing two concave mirrors which have the same radius of curvature in a plane which bisects the straight line connecting two spherical centers at right angles. CONSTITUTION:The two concave mirrors 24 and 25 which have the same radius of curvature are jointed together in the plane which bisects the straight lines connecting two spherical centers at right angles and arranged so that the optical axis of an input optical fiber 22 is in the jointed surface of the concave mirrors. Projected light from the optical fiber 22 is made incident equally to the concave mirrors 24 and 25 and further incident to optical fibers 21 and 23 whose core centers are positioned at image formation position of the concave mirrors. At this time, the angular aperture of pieces of luminous flux made incident to output optical fibers 21 and 23 is smaller than that to the input optical fiber 22, so the angles of the optical axes of the optical fibers 21 and 23 are set easily and all incident beams are distributed equally and easily. |
