PURPOSE:To obtain the titled developer having superior dispersion stability and transferability and contg. a liq. carrier with properly controlled electric conductivity by dispersing a toner consisting of a coloring agent and a specified resin in a liq. carrier and by adding an org. acid. CONSTITUTION:A monomer represented by formula I (where X is H or methyl, and R is 2-20C alkyl), e.g., 2-ethylhexyl (meth)acrylate is copolymerized with a monomer represented by formula II[where Y is a group represented by formula III, IV or V (where each of R1 and R2 is H or 1-4C alkyl, and n is 1-4)], e.g., aminostyrene or allylamine in about 1:(0.001-1) weight ratio to obtain a resin. 1 Part by weight of a coloring agent such as carbon black and about 0.1-50 parts said resin are dispersed in a liq. carrier which is a nonpolar solvent with low electric conductivity such as ''Isoper G'' of Esso Co., and an org. acid such as acetic acid is further added by about 0.00001-0.01 part per 1 part resin. |
