PURPOSE:To record in high density with high water resistance, little flow-out of an ink and high ink-absorbing property, by a method wherein a raw paper having predetermined characteristics of Stockigt sizing degree, brightness by Hunter and smoothness is impregnated with a water-soluble high polymer. CONSTITUTION:A raw paper having a Stockigt sizing degree of 0-5sec, a brightness by Hunter of not lower than 75% and a smoothness of not lower than 50sec is impregnated with at least one selected from the group consisting of polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyvinylpyrrolidone-vinyl acetate, polyvinyl alcohol, CMC, polyacrylamide and metacrylic acid esters. Accordingly, an ink jet recording paper, capable of recording in high dneisty with high water resistance, little flow-out of an ink and high ink-absorbing property can be obtained. |
