PURPOSE:To shrink an original in the sub-scanning direction by varying a feeding speed of the original. CONSTITUTION:The facsimile device is provided with a scanning section 10 scanning the original 14, a buffer memory 13 storing a scanned line signal, a motor 11 feeding the original 14 in a constant speed, and a motor control section 12 varying the feeding speed of the motor 11. The control section 12 sets optionally the speed in the sub-scanning direction of the original 14. Taking the speed of the motor 11 as av (where; v is the normal reading speed), the total line number scanned in the sub-scanning direction is 1/a, which means shrinking of the original. |
