PURPOSE:To obtain the compact selector operating at high speed by moving only magazines in the device, using a cassette for a first supply and a last extraction and encasing the magazines in the cassette in a vertically stacked shape. CONSTITUTION:The magazines 2 filled with the elements are extracted one by one from the lower section of the cassette 3, in which the magazines are stacked vertically, and carried, and inclined at a position (C), and the elements are slid and dropped one by one. The remaining of the elements are inspected, the magazines are returned in the horizontal direction, only residual magazines are discharged outside a system at a position (D), and empty magazines are let wait at a position (F). The elements are measured (G), classifications (a), (b)... are determined and memorized, the elements are slid and dropped, and the elements are moved to the selector I at a position (H). The elements are classified and encased at a position (K) by selectively moving a belt. The elements are let wait temporarily only for an exchange time at a position (J) when the magazine is filled with the elements. Empty magazines waiting at the position (F) are carried to an exchanging position and exchanged, and the magazines filled with the elements are pushed up and pushed into the cassette 3 at a position (L) from a lower section.
