MANUFACTURE OF LEAD STORAGE BATTERY

摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of weld line when molding a synthetic resin adaptor inserted wuth a lead alloy bushing by providing a thin film integrally for choking opening at one end of lead alloy bushing. CONSTITUTION:A thin film disc 9 having thickness of 2-3mm. is provided integrally to choke the opening at the lower portion of a tubular bushing 1 having inner diameter of 40-70mm. made of lead alloy containing 3-5wt% of antimony to remove the gate 8 upon completion of molding. Then said bushing 1 is inserted into an injection molding metal dies of adaptor while a resin film 11 having thickness of 1-5mm. is formed from a gate 10 where AS resin or ABS resin is arranged at the outside of thin film 9 to mold an adaptor 2 and to insert the bushing 1. Thereafter thin films 9, 11 are removed completely by means of a drilling machine and screwed to an ebonite cover 3 then a portion of lead alloy pole 4 and the inner circumferential section of bushing 1 are welded by a burner.
