The dowel contains a body (1) which has an opening, intended to receive a screw element, and an expansion part (3). In order to prevent the transfer of structure-borne sound between a screw element, to be screwed into the dowel, and a structural part, the body (1) is embedded in an envelope (6) consisting of vibration-damping material. In order to simplify the production and improve the connection between the body (1) and the envelope (6), the two structural parts consist of the vibration-damping material, the body merely having a greater hardness than the envelope. <IMAGE>
