The connection body (3) consists of the bearing region (3a) which has a bore (3b) to receive the spring pin (4) and adjoining which is the conically tapered connecting tongue (3c, 3d). When the connection body (3) is mounted, the surfaces (3e, 3f) of the bearing region (3a) bear against opposite surfaces of the watch housing (1) and bring about a seat which is secure against rotation. Moulded onto the side edges of the longitudinal region (3c) of the connecting tongue (3c, 3d) are boundary webs (3h, 3i) which project on both sides beyond the plane of said longitudinal region. The boundary webs (3h) are connected to one another by a further boundary web (3j). The leather or synthetic leather strap (2) consists of the two layers (2a, 2b) which are bonded to one another and between which the connecting tongue (3c, 3d) is inserted and likewise fixed by bonding. A transition to the watch housing is thus obtained for straps made of leather or synthetic leather, which transition is secure against rotation, is elegant in form and could previously only be implemented in bracelet-type and modern chain-link straps. <IMAGE>
