PURPOSE:To facilitate correction during card inputting operation by providing memory function, correcting function, comparing function and card reading mechanism in a punching device, reading data of punched card, comparing it with punched data and when the two do not coincide, punching again. CONSTITUTION:Input data from an inputting mechanism 6 are stored in a memory mechanism 4, and input data read out from the mechanism 4 are added to a comparing mechanism 3. Input data passed through the mechanism 3 is supplied to a punching mechanism 1 and punched. Data of the punched card are read by a reading mechanism 2, and the read data are added to the comparing mechanism 3 and compared with data read out from the mechanism 4. When they coincide, the card is sent out as it is and if not, data from the mechanism 4 are supplied again to the mechanism 1 and punched. Input data from the mechanism 6 are displayed in a display device 7. When an error is found in the input data, it is corrected by a correcting mechanism 5 and the correct input data are stored in the mechanism 4. Thus, the correction during inputting operation is made easy. |
