PURPOSE:To obtain a vibration reducing device which may optionally change, during operation, the frequency of vibration and exciting force applied to a hull and which may be operated with low energy consumption without a large energy being consumed to obtain exciting force. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulic vibration reducing balancer comprises a swing arm 12 having one end journalled to a supporting post 11 which is planted on a pedestal 10 adapted to be secured to an excited position in a hull or the like, a balance weight 14 arranged on the swing arm 12 movably in the direction of the arm, an exciting cylinder 20 secured to the pedestal 20 and connected, on each of the rod and bore sides, with accumulators 21, 22, and a control cylinder secured to the pedestal 10 in parallel with the exciting cylinder 20 and driven by an electrical control valve 31. The front ends of movable parts of the cylinders 20, 30 are slidably engaged to the front end of the swing arm 12 on which the balance weight 14 is moved to vary the position of weight load for changing the exciting frequency of the exciting cylinder 20 that is started and controlled by the control cylinder 30. |
