Tread rubber having plastic-elastic properties and high adhesion to the carriageway

The present invention relates to a mix for tyre treads having increased adhesion to the carriageway, in particular for icy and wet carriageway. The mixes of the present invention consist in that, for 100 parts by weight of natural or synthetic rubber, they contain 70 to 100 parts by weight of carbon black and 30 to 70 parts by weight of aromatic oil having specified properties, and a special vulcanisation system. The rubber of this composition is characterised by its plastic-elastic properties with at the same time high strength. It is to a certain extent plastic and therefore effectively adapts itself to the surface of the carriageway, but the high strength of the vulcanisation structure ensures a corresponding long life.
