PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce the consumption of a specimen solution, by mounting a means for stopping the specimen feed operation of a feed means when a signal showing an 100% response rate is outputted from a detection means. CONSTITUTION:When a pump is operated in such a state that a specimen container C is placed below a specimen suction pipe 2 and the leading end of the suction pipe 2 is immersed in a specimen container, the output from an ion selective electrode 10 gradually becomes large as the specimen solution is sucked. If the suction of the specimen solution is further secceeded, the output of the electrode shows 100% response before long and the output of a response rate detection circuit 5 comes to a zero level. A motor 6 is operated by this signal to draw up the specimen suction pipe 2 and the sucking of the specimen solution is stopped when 100% response is shown to finish measurement. |
