<p>PURPOSE:To feed the exhaust gas containing a great quantity of carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon compounds to a filter provided with an oxidation catalyzer as well as to aim at a complete combustion of exhaust fine particles, by delaying the injection timing of fuel for a Diesel engine in time of a state of specific car driving. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust passage of a Diesel engine connects with a cylindrical filter case where particulate filters 12 are layered one after another, while it is being coated with an oxidation catalyzer, at least at the exhaust manifold side of these filters 12. On the other hand, a cam shaft pulley 14 driven by a crankshaft pulley 13 and a fuel injection pulley 15 are wound round with a timing belt 16 with which a pair of tensioners 17 and 18 being opposed with each other come into contact. When such a state that it is in filter regenerating timing and no-load running is detected, negative pressure is led into a shift lever control valve 24 so that the injection timing is sharply delayed.</p> |
