Friction surface is formed by heat pressing or curing. The compsn. includes a friction material and adhesive. This compsn. is coated onto the sheet during normal mfr., before the heat treatment stage which is used to dry and/or cure the adhesive soln. of the friction composite. A fine ground powder is used for the friction material e.g. chalk. The adhesive binder e.g. pine oil is emulsified, in a soln. of ammonia. |
